If you’re picking up Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End on PS4 today, make sure you download the day one patch.
The 5GB update is now available, and is required to access the game’s online multiplayer component and a number of other things.
In addition to the multiplayer, the patch adds the following features:
- Encounter Selection
- Character model viewer
- Render mode
- Single-player skins
- Photo Mode
You will also unlock the ability to view weapons, journals and concept art in-game, which is a nice a little touch.

Beyond this, the update throws in a slew of general fixes and improvements, providing you with the best possible experience.
Uncharted 4 will allow you to play through the single-player campaign as the multiplayer installs, so you won’t be stuck waiting for a download to finish.
