UK Game Releases This Week: Halo 5: Guardians orbital drops onto Xbox One
Master Chief is back in Halo 5: Guardians, Stone Cold is ready to stun you in WWE 2K16 and Project Zero: Maiden of the Black Water is spooking its way onto Wii U. It’s time to catch up on this week’s biggest new releases.
Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One)
Master Chief has gone rogue, the forerunners are back and the galaxy is in a bit of a pickle. It’s up to Fireteam Osiris to track down the legendary Spartan and eliminate the enemy threat before it’s too late. Halo 5: Guardians will feature a squad-based campaign and all new multiplayer modes. The Xbox One exclusive will unfortunately do away with Halo’s iconic split-screen multiplayer, so no more playing with friends on the sofa. 
WWE 2K16 (PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC)
Can you smell what 2K Games is cooking? It could be WWE 2K16, the newest installment in their yearly wrestling series. 2K16 is set to improve gameplay mechanics and introduce a variety of new match types including ladder tag team, handicap tag team, and tornado tag matches. You can even play as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 Terminator if you pre-order the game.

Project Zero: Maiden of the Blackwater (Nintendo Wii U)
If you own a Wii U and fancy something weird, Japanese and spooky then Project Zero: Maiden of the Blackwater could be perfect for you. Blackwater puts you in control of three different female characters as you explore the fictional Hikami Mountain, unfortunately the mountain is full of ghosts and other spooky stuff. This Wii U exclusive makes intuitive use of the gamepad, allowing you to capture pictures of hostile ghosts as you explore the environment in pursuit of strange, paranormal happenings.

Xbox Elite Wireless Controller (Xbox One)
Okay, maybe we’re cheating a bit with this one, but hardcore shooter fans will definitely find something to love here. Microsoft’s £120 premium controller doesn’t come cheap, but is engineered for custom, competitive gaming. You can configure the d-pad, thumbsticks and triggers to your liking; perfecting your aim and sensitivity so you can pull off the perfect headshot. Oh, and it also comes with a cute little carry case so you can take it wherever you like.

Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition
Yet another last generation remaster coming to PS4 and Xbox One. Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition includes a number of improvements such as a higher resolution, increased framerate and improved visuals overall. This edition also comes packaged with all previously released downloadable content for Darksiders 2, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. Now if we can just get over the stupid name we’ll be good to go.
