TrustedReviews New Mobile Website Launches

David Gilbert

Trustedreviews Mobile Website

We are constantly striving to bring you all the latest technology news and reviews, and present it to you in the best way possible. And part of this mission is allowing you to access the TrustedReviews content whenever you want and wherever you are.

To that end, following our recent website redesign, we have also redesigned our mobile website to allow you to more easily see what is happening in the world of technology while on the move. It's been live for a little while now but we thought it high time we shouted it from the rooftops and got some feedback from you, our readers.

The new mobile website offers a clean and simple layout which can be easily navigated whether you’re viewing it on the Xperia mini pro or the somewhat larger screen of the Samsung Galaxy S II.

Reviews and news articles are presented in a single uncluttered column, with no need to navigate multiple pages. As ever, at the top of each review you'll also find the summary section containing scores, key features, pros and cons, and a summary verdict, while the full review follows underneath.

As well as showing the latest news and reviews, the new mobile site lets you delve deep into the treasure trove that is TrustedReviews’ mammoth archive of reviews and other articles via the search bar and category list. So with just a few clicks you should be able to look up just whether or not it's a good idea to buy that gadget while out shopping.

With seamless social network integration with Facebook and Twitter, you will be able to interact with all the team at TrustedReviews and discuss the news that Steve Jobs has left Apple, or what you think of the latest 3D TV from Sharp.

We're still striving to improve the site but in the mean time we'd love to hear your thoughts so let us know in the comments.

Hi, I've been viewing the TR articles on my mobile (HTC Desire) since before you revamped the site, so I've been using the mobile site since you rolled it out. On the whole I really like it.

There are some articles that do not have a mobile equivalent (it seems to be the "Opinions" articles). Whenever I browse one of those articles I get a "There isn't a mobile version of this page..." with a link to the web version of the page. But whenever I click on the link to the web version I get a "Sorry page not found" 404 page.

I understand not all content can be mobilised (presumably a limitation of your CMS), but it would be far more usable if I were just simply presented with the web version of the page rather than a "There isn't a mobile version of this page". Failing that can you please fix the link that takes me to the web version.

yey :D I actually noticed the new mobile site last week, it is much better than using the full site on the go and because it uses less data it saves data allowance too.

I've also been using the mobile version of the site for a couple of months and really like it. Occasionally there is a problem with viewing more news articles from the home page as the link sometimes comes back with a 404 error.

I also get a little frustrated when the page tries to refresh itself so that the advert banner at the top (and bottom) can be loaded. This can disrupt scrolling up or down the page and sometimes results in an article being opened while I am scrolling even though I didn't want to open it. I then have to go back a page and wait for the whole thing to load and try again. This is on an iPhone 4.
