True Nexus 5 successor could be in the works
Google is rumoured to be collaborating with LG once again on a small(ish) screen follow up to the Nexus 5.
Recent reports have suggested that Google has a new Nexus device in the works with Huawei, but that it’ll be another large-screen phablet (this time 5.7-inch) like the Nexus 6.
That will disappoint a lot of people who simply found the 6-inch Nexus 6 to be too big and unwieldy. What such people want is a true successor to 2013’s 4.95-inch Nexus 5.
According to Android Police’s Artem Russakovskii, those people are going to get their wish.
Russakovskii has written a Google+ post highlighting rumours that there will be two Nexus devices launched in 2015. The second one will sport a 5.2-inch display and will be made by LG, the manufacturer behind the Nexus 5.

As the post points out, this would be the first time Google has launched two Nexus phones in a year. But hey, if Samsung and Apple can do it, why not?
Of course, with a good half of the year to go before we see Google’s plans come to fruition, there’s still plenty of time for a change. After all, this time last year it’s widely held that Google had no intention of launching what became the Nexus 6.
