TomTom has announced that drivers using its latest SatNav will be able to safely tweet their estimated time of arrival to all their followers.

The service will be available in the newly launched Go Live 1005 World satnav which features online travel services as well as the ability to tweet safely.

New Search & Go Live Services, including access to Expedia and TripAdivsor, will give drivers access to online reviews of hotels, restaurants, spas and theatres as well as being able to compare prices for, say, hotels along your route.

The new SatNav from TomTom will come with a 5in screen and is an update to the impressive Go Live 825 we saw earlier this year.

If you want to use Twitter while you’re driving, you’ll need to pre-set your message prior to beginning your journey. The estimated time of arrival will be updated in the message before arrival to give more accuracy.

“Each of the new Search & Go Live Services has been created to work seamlessly with TomTom's map and routing technology. This means that once drivers have read reviews and selected where they want to go, they are automatically offered the best route to get there,” a statement from TomTom said.

The Go Live 1005 World will come with one year free access to the Live services such as HD Traffic and will come with voice control and Bluetooth hands-free calling.

The Go Live 1005 World is available now and comes with a SRP of £329.99.
