Tinder just launched verified celebrity profiles
Imagine swiping through Tinder and coming across what looks like a celebrity’s photo. Surely it’s a dodgy account, right?
Perhaps not, and Tinder wants to help you separate the celebs from the spam with verified ticks for high-profile Tinder users.
After all, just because someone is rich and famous doesn’t mean they don’t want to find a honey-bunch to snuggle with too.
As such, starting today Tinder will be assigning a blue tick to celebrities so that other users know their profile is legit.
“
It’s the same blue tick you see on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, and could stop you from falling foul of a scam account.

According to Tinder, blue ticks will be passed out to “notable public figures, celebrities, and athletes.”
However, as with Twitter, you won’t actually be able to request your own tick – Tinder will find you if you’re famous enough.
