Three partners with Sony to launch Uncharted: London

Sony has partnered with Three to launch an experience called Uncharted: London, a treasure hunt of the Nathan Drake persuasion.

Any Uncharted fans dwelling in the English capital city or heading there in the near future should try out the new Uncharted: London adventure.

Created by the Sony team and it’s flagship Sony Xperia Z5 handset in partnership with network Three, the adventure uses the latest geo-tagging tech to drop voice messages from Nathan Drake himself (aka famous voice actor Nolan North) all over London.

“When players enter the London locations containing Nathan Drake’s voice messages, you’ll be able to listen the recording using the app “Recho”.

Drake will drop some hints as to where the next destination is, and you’re off.

What’s more, each chosen location actually links back to characters and events from the Uncharted sereis.

The first clue is as follows:

“Ah London town. I remember the time me and Sully enjoyed a few rounds in a pub with some locals. We left a little worse for wear that night… Back then it was an old and precious object that brought me to London, the ring that once belonged to my ancestor: the explorer Sir Francis Drake. His motto was ‘Greatness from small beginnings’. Your path to greatness begins next to the floating symbol of Drake’s great journeys around the world. I’ll give you a hint: it’s ‘Long Hidden’. I hope you’re good with anagrams.”

Anyone who successfully solves the clues provided and reaches the final location will be rewarded with Sony and Three UK treasures. The first one to complete it actually gets a PlayStation 4, while others will win a Sony Xperia Z5, Three PAYG Sims, copies of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and other prizes.
