This War of Mine: The Little Ones coming to PS4 and Xbox One

This War of Mine: The Little Ones is making its way to consoles in 2016 with some extra content.

The harrowing survival sim by 11 Bit Studios is coming to PS4 and Xbox One with a brand new perspective.

This War of Mine: The Little Ones will delve into the hardships of wartime survival from the perspective of a child, whilst also allowing players to experience the original game.

The console version will put players in the roles of both adults and children as they try and survive in a city dominated by war. You will have to perilously hunt for food and supplies in order to keep your people healthy and alive.

Difficult choices and sacrifices must also be made, with the death of men, women and children likely hanging in the balance.

Looting for supplies isn’t your only responsibility though. Fixing up and crafting equipment for your shelter so your survivors can cook, sleep and build is also essential.

In the game, the way your “building is shaped, how many floors it has, how well it’s fortified and prepared as a potential hideout” will all have a significant impact on gameplay, influencing the potential survival of your occupants if you aren’t too careful.

The PS4 version of the game will include an exclusive extra shelter called “The Large Mansion.”

This War of Mine tells a fictional story inspired by the 1992-96 Siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War, where you must focus on keeping civilians safe.

The original game received critical and commercial success when it released in 2014, making its total development cost back after just two days on sale.

Developer 11 Bit Studios has also been heavily involved in charity work. Last year the studio released its War Child DLC, where 100% of proceeds went to helping Syrian refugee children.

The War of Mine: The Little Ones is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2016.
