These are the most ridiculous smartphone specs ever – seriously

Turing Robotics Industries (TRI) launched its Turing Phone this year after numerous delays and a quick switch from Android to Jolla’s Sailfish OS.

All of which is ridiculous enough, but now it seems the company is taking absurdity to another level, if a report from AndroidPolice is accurate.

It seems TRI Chief Executive Steve Chao has, via a mailing list newsletter, announced a new phone which is being referred to as the Turing Phone Cadenza – and it comes with an outlandish spec sheet.

Part of the company’s ‘The Outer Blueprint’ program, which aims to integrate AI and smartphones, the Cadenza is expected to launch next year.

And according to Chao, the device will arrive with two, yes two, Snapdragon 830 chips (which are yet to be announced) and a 60 megapixel ‘IMAX 6K Quad Rear’ camera.

Yes, you read that right. What’s more, the Cadenza is said to sport a 20 megapixel dual front camera setup, along with 12GB of DDR4X RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

Oh, and there’s also the two microSD slots, a 100wh battery with graphene and “hydrogen Fuelcell”, and “quad Nano-SIM” for some reason.

What does this beast run on? Well, the as yet unannounced Swordfish OS of course, which will supposedly incorporate AI in some way.

As AndroidPolice points out, the whole thing seems like some sort of prank, but at this point there’s nothing to say this isn’t legitimate.

So, we patiently await the arrival of the Turing Phone Cadenza, along with its dual processors, 60 megapixel camera, and what will presumably be the earliest iteration of Skynet.
