There’s never been a better time to invest in a Samsung UHD TV – here’s why
If you’re considering snapping up a 4K HDR+ TV to go along with a new PS4 Pro, Samsung has an offer that could remove a little buyers’ trepidation.
The company is offering a life-time guarantee against screen burn-in with its 2016 SUHD Quantum Dot “8” and “9” series televisions in the US.

This issue can occur when a TV remains on a single image for a prolonged period of time (a disc menu or Smart TV home screen for instance) and leaves a permanent “burned-in” image on the display.
An Ultra HD TV with HDR technology is likely to be an investment most customers will want to last for 5-10 years.
As such, Samsung has taken the extra step to reassure customers their purchase won’t be undermined if they fall asleep in front of the telly.

The company also says the guarantee reflects its confidence the new line-up is not susceptible to the burn-in issue.
We thought Samsung might be a little wary of using the word “burn” in any parlance at the moment, but in this case it’s a very good thing.
