The Walking Dead Season 3 to premiere with episodic double bill

The Walking Dead Season 3 will launch on December 20 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS and Android, Telltale Games has confirmed.

Unlike previous titles in the series, The Walking Dead’s third season will feature a two-episode premiere as its opening chapter.

Known as The Ties That Bind, both episodes will launch on the same day, giving us double the usual undead drama to unpack.

This news was accompanied by a new trailer at The Game Awards 2016, which you can check out below:

Telltale plans to release a physical version of The Walking Dead Season 3 in February 2017, much like it did for Batman and Minecraft: Story Mode.

Players will have the opportunity to import saved data on existing platforms or simply decide what happened to them in past episodes.

This will be done through a background story where the arc of Clementine can be changed depending on past decisions. Either that, or you go in blind.
