Samsung has finally unfurled the Galaxy Folder 2 clamshell smartphone, which will go on sale in China where these things remain rather popular.
The mid-range Folder 2 runs on Android 6.0 and features a 3.8-inch display with a WVGA resolution. Wow, remember those?
It has a 1.4Ghz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD, and a 1,950 mAh battery that shouldn’t be taxed too much.
As well as Android Marshmallow, there’s some more modern tech in there too. Users will have access to LTE and Bluetooth 4.2 (via SamMobile)
As usual with these releases there’s not much change of the Galaxy Folder 2 will make it to Europe or the United States.
While we do make fun somewhat, there’s definitely an allure to these types of devices in the modern era.
How often do you place your phone face down because you just can’t be bothered with the continuous notifications interrupting your flow?
Bring back clam shells, we say, just make sure you upgrade the innards for the Folder 3, Samsung.
