Nothing beats sitting down after a long day and cracking open a nice cold can of…smartphone?

According to the ever-fruitful grapevine, soft drinks giant Pepsi is working on an actual Android phone.

Talk of a Pepsi smartphone was first stirred up when a verified Weibo account called ‘Pepsi Phone’ popped up.

Now, a new leak out of China – via Phone Arena – claims knowledge of the smartphone’s specs.

What’s more, it’s alleged that device is called the Pepsi P1, and will feature the signature red, white, and blue logo on the back.

According to the latest reports, the Pepsi P1 will feature a Full HD 5.5-inch display.

Inside the device, we’re expecting to see a MediaTek MT6592 chipset – that’s an octa-core 1.7GHz CPU paired with an ARM Mali-540 MP4 graphics processor.

It’s also tipped that there’ll be 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 3,000mAh battery on board.

Let’s not forget snapping potential either; after all, you’ll need something to take Pepsi-guzzling selfies with. Rumoured to feature are two cameras, front and rear, utilise 5-megapixel and 13-megapixel image sensors respectively.

All this will be, unsurprisingly, powered by Google’s Android operating system, specifically version 5.1.
