LG V10 successor, the V20, could be here in September

LG V10

Last October, LG announced the high-end LG V10, which came with two displays, a dual front-facing camera setup, and classy stainless steel construction.

It was the second, always-on display, which could be set up to display key information like weather, time, date and battery life, that set the phone apart from other high-end handsets.

And now, the company could already be preparing to unveil a successor to the V10 according to a new report out of South Korea.

The report claims LG is " trying to say competitive against its competitors in Smartphone markets during [the] second half of this year".

With Samsung readying its new Galaxy Note 7 for an August launch, it makes sense that LG would want to bring forward the release of what the report claims will be called the V20, rather than the V11.

Apple is also gearing up for the launch of the iPhone 7, which is expected to arrive in early September, meaning there'll be a lot of competition in the smartphone market as 2016 comes to an end.

It's worth taking the 'V20' report with a pinch of salt, however, as there's been no official word from LG on the rumoured handset's launch.

LG has already launched the modular LG G5 this year, which has struggled to compete against stellar offerings from the likes of Samsung and HTC.

Whether the 'V20' will turn things around for the South Korean firm remains to be seen, but we're certainly excited to see what LG has in store.

I would look at these things in the lg v20:
1. Removable battery & cover
2. Better manufacturing quality. G4 and G3 has been plagued by motherboard issues, though a leap over the wire laden g2 electronics.
3. Snapdragon 823 or higher, preferably 830 (crossing 3 ghz clock speed would be world beater). If nuclun, then release of source codes for custom Roms, the reason I stopped buying samsung.
4. Atleast 6 gb ram or higher.
5. Atleast 5.7" fully usable screen
For these reasons I have not upgraded to either v10 or lg g5. In our family, we use lg g3, and I currently have lg g4, arguably, the best phone till 2014.
Otherwise, I would be looking at the vivo xplay5 elite, or letv le max2 x820.
Service is good for lg
