The Greatest Case lets you reach everywhere on your big-screened phone

There’s no denying it, phones are getting bigger. Which is a problem for those without giant hands. Thankfully this case is here to help.

Thanks to its clever design, it helps you reach everywhere on the phone’s screen. At the moment, to reach the full span of the display means holding your phone loose in your hand. Which, as we all know, makes it easier to drop.

The Greatest Case, however, features a grip down the back. Hold it with your fingers, and your thumb is freed up to move wherever you want. You don’t have to grip the phone, so your movement isn’t restricted. But because you’re holding onto something, you won’t drop the phone.

The case couldn’t be simpler. It’s a frame that wraps around the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or iPhone 6 Plus, with grips down the back. There’s one on either side, so it’s useful for both left- and right-handers. It’s available in black plastic or in copper. Both versions are 3D printed.

If you do drop it, it offers some protection, though not complete peace of mind. It protects the corners and back – a lot of screens shatter easily when the phone is dropped on its corner. But if you want to protect the screen from scratches and knocks, you’ll need a dedicated screen protector.

The Greatest Case is seeking funding on Kickstarter. If successful, it should ship in May.
