The first phone with Google’s Project Tango tech is finally on sale
The long-awaited Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is finally on sale, almost nine months after it was first announced by the Chinese firm.
The device has 3D mapping skills thanks to the four depth and motion sensing cameras baked into the back of the handset.
That enables unique augmented reality experiences, where applications can interact within the real 3D world rather than just resting upon a 2D scene.

We got our best look at the Phab 2 Pro at the Lenovo Tech World expo this summer.
Among the experiences available include a “Dinosaurs Among Us” app from the American National History Museum, which enables users to interact with dinosaurs, learn about them and view them in real size within an AR environment.
There’s also a Dominoes game that places an entire AR toybox in a room.
The US hardware chain Lowe’s also has an app that can measure the dimensions of a room and allow users to see whether items will fit within their current set-up.
