Concept cars are usually fairly extravagant affairs, but the Chevrolet FNR takes automotive ostentation to a whole new level.
Chevrolet unveiled its prospective vehicle at the Shanghai Motor Show, showcasing a car that looks like it was birthed from the realms of Tron.
The automotive company wanted to show off what autonomous electric vehicles of the future would look like. And it’s a future we really, really want.
Although a concept, the FNR would be fully self-driving, powered by wheel-borne magnetic electric motors, and could charge wirelessly.

The exterior is gorgeous, with ‘dragonfly’-style swing doors, radar sensors, laser headlights, and an enticing array of blue light strips. It sort of looks like it belongs in a Gilette advert.
The interior is pretty mental too; it’s kitted out with four swivel chairs, and a space-age dashboard brimming with Matrix-esque graphics.
Right - you want one, we want one; where do we sign up? Unfortunately, Chevrolet will probably never release this vehicle – not any time soon, anyway.
The best we can do is let you take a look at some more photos of the future-fondling FNR below:
