Thank this wonderful man for the definitive list of free airport Wi-Fi
Getting online at airports can be a right pain in the cargo hold. Well, it used to be.
The new WiFox app (iOS/Android) from security engineer Anil Polat (via HuffPo) provides a list of free Wi-Fi hotspots at airports around the world, including the usernames and passwords required to get connected.
The list, which is also available through an interactive Google Map, even features the passwords to many of those airline lounges offering free access.

The database is being constantly updated thanks to crowd-sourcing from readers of Polat’s blog and the flurry of publicity this week should ensure more data comes pouring in.
He has vowed to continue updating the list as more users send in suggestions.
So, next time you’re stuck with a long lay over, enjoying a Netflix marathon on the house, raise a glass to Anil.
