It looks like Tesco is quietly launching its first Windows-powered tablet, at least according to a promo poster from the supermarket.
First noticed by Windowscentral, the poster shows off a bundle that will give you an Xbox One console and a 7-inch Connect tablet running Windows for £349.
It would be the first time Tesco has peddled an own-brand slate running anything but the good ship Google’s Android OS.
More to the point, this is very much a killer deal. Tesco usually flogs its Kinect at £329, which means you’d be snagging the new slate for a wallet-coddling £20.
For comparison, the newly launched Linx 7 was the cheapest Windows slate, pricing up at £80.
Prior to that, the best you could get was Toshiba’s Encore 2, coming in at £179 – that’s about 9 Tesco Connect Windows editions.
There aren’t any games included in the bundle, so you’ll need to lump on a bit more dosh to actually get some use out of the console.
It’s also worth noting that we have no idea what the specs are, and the device isn’t even showing up on Tesco’s online store.
That could be because it’s listed as available starting from November 7, so your local Tesco store might know the details once Friday rolls around.
