Tesco Hudl 2 wins Best Value Tablet gong at 2014 TrustedReviews Awards

The tablet market isn’t all about iPads and Nexus devices, with the Tesco Hudl 2 being named the Best Value Tablet at the 2014 TrustedReviews Awards.

While the original Tesco Hudl left us impressed, the recently released Tesco Hudl 2 has shaken the market. The 8.3-inch device has brought high-end appeal and an impressive user interface to a wallet-friendly price tag.

With Google having moved into more premium price tag territory in 2014 with the Nexus 9, the door has been left wide open for a raft of impressive competition to take the helm.

“It wasn’t so long ago that we’d tell people to steer well clear of cheap tablets, but that’s all changed in recent years,” TrustedReviews Editor Evan Kypreos said in announcing the award.

The nominations this year were all really strong with the Nvidia Shield Tablet in particular offering fantastic performance for the price.

Looking at the Hudl’s title winning credentials, he added: “In the end there was really only one winner this year.

“The Tesco Hudl 2 fixes almost all of the issues last year’s tablet had yet is still available to buy at £65 with Clubcard points. That is unbeatable value.”

The Tesco Hudl 2 features an 8.3-inch display with an impressive 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, a 5-megapixel rear-mounted snapper and a 1.83GHz Intel quad-core processor.
