Super Smash Bros Wii U lets you play with Miis

Nintendo has confirmed that you’ll be able to play with your Miis in Super Smash Bros Wii U.

Along with a vast range of special Nintendo characters you’ll know and love, Nintendo will let you port your own Miis or celebrities you’ve created into the Smash Bros matches.

Apparently Nintendo considered introducing the Miis into Super Bros Smash Brawl, but decided against it.

“For this game though we’re not simply throwing them into the fray, we’ve done some serious work getting them ready for the fight,” explained Nintendo. “They’re almost not even Mii’s anymore.”

The Miis are just as powerful as other characters including Mario, Link or other Nintendo classics and there are actually three different Mii fighter types to choose from.

First there’s the Mii Brawler, which is a fast and powerful fighter. The Sword Fighters are the weapons masters that are cool and calm fighters. The final class, the Mii Gunners, are armed with a mysterious arm cannon that fires various projectiles in the matches.

Unlike the normal characters, each type of Mii fighter can choose four special moves from a maximum 12 options. This means you have a total of 36 special moves to choose from for your Mii fighter, which would usually require 9 characters to have that level of options.
