Super Mario Run will launch for iOS devices on December 15, Nintendo has announced.
The perky plumber’s debut mobile adventure will be available on iPhone and iPad for £7.99/$9.99 later next month.
It will also be free to download for all users, although this won’t give players access to the full experience. It will instead let you try out the game’s three unique modes.

The endless runner can be played by using one hand to tap the screen in order for Mario to jump over obstacles, collect coins and squish enemies.
“The wait is almost over for a Super Mario game that can be played on mobile devices,” Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Doug Bowser said in a statement. “Developed under the direction of Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Super Mario Run brings a new take on the series’ beloved action-platforming gameplay to iPhone and iPad for the first time.”
