Street Fighter 5 worldwide beta dates announced

The worldwide Street Fighter 5 beta will commence on August 28 exclusively on PS4.

The very first beta test for Street Fighter 5 didn’t go so well, subject to multiple server issues and disconnection problems; many players found it impossible to even play the game.

Capcom promised to restart its faulty beta at some point, and it has kept that promise. The publisher announced yesterday a whole new beta period for the upcoming fighter.

The beta will held worldwide from August 28, starting at 11PM GMT. It will run for a total of five days, giving you until September 2 to hadouken the hell out of each other.

Capcom has released a statement on the beta announcement, and what we can expect from it:

“Outside of the servers being shutdown for periodic maintenance, we expect everything to run continuously throughout the entire five day beta period”

However, Capcom has warned that some players may still encounter some “connectivity issues” during the beta.

“This data is extremely helpful to us, as it will ensure that the final product will have the most optimal net code,” the developer said.

“In case there are issues, be sure to follow @SFVServer on Twitter for the latest updates on the status of the server.”

You can gain access to the Street Fighter V beta by pre-ordering the game. The original beta for Street Fighter V originally took place in July, but ended abruptly thanks to a number of technical issues.

Street Fighter 5 is coming to PS4 and PC in 2016.
