Street Fighter 5 Guile screenshots leaked…by Capcom

UPDATE: Capcom has confirmed that Guile will be the next DLC character for Street Fighter 5.

The news was confirmed in a blog post, in which a new Rage Quit system was also detailed, in which persistent offenders will be banned from online play. The ban will last for an unspecified period of time, but the post notes it will only target the worst offenders. Improvements to matchmaking were also detailed.

Original story follows:

Screenshots of Street Fighter 5’s next DLC character, Guile, were accidentally published early by Capcom.

Following swiftly from the release of Alex, Capcom accidentally revealed Guile will be the next fighter joining the roster in a Facebook post. It was quickly taken down, but internet users managed to quickly grab the screenshots.

A batch of screenshots were included in the post, and Gamegeekz grabbed all of them.

Street Fighter 5 continues to receive criticism for its lack of content, and series boss Yoshinori Ono has consistently posted apologies to his own Facebook page with the promise to continue to address the concerns throughout the game’s life cycle. However, Capcom saying it ‘underestimated demand‘ for single player content probably only served to infuriate players further.
