Valve's Steam Autumn Sale will start at 7pm UK time today, November 25, according to a new report.

The Steam Autumn Sale will run from 7pm today, November 25, to 7pm on December 1, offering PC gamers lots of lovely discounts.

The report comes via the Steamworks developer group, which was picked up by Reddit.

A message was posted to discuss the upcoming sale events, as this will be the first one without Flash and Daily Sales.

"In past sale events, we've asked for two discounts – a duration discount that runs for the length of the sale, and a feature discount that runs in the event that a game is featured on the front page," explained Valve.

"This year, to optimise the sale for customers and to allow us to feature and recommend your products in more ways to more customers, we're asking for just one discount, to run the length of the sale."

It seems top games will still be highlighted on the front page of Steam for 24-48 hour periods, but any that are highlighted will always stay at their most competitive discount regardless of whether they're currently being featured.

This route will ensure that all Steam users get the best possible discount, without having to check the Steam front page daily (or more regularly than that).

While some will miss Flash and Daily deals, we're certainly pleased that we can ensure we won't miss anything if we happen to skip a daily check or two.
