The Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass is finally bringing us a Death Star map.

EA Games has finally detailed the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass content, including their names and a bit about each drop.

The Season Pass costs £40 and offers a quartet of paid content that will drop throughout this year and early 2017.

The first, Outer Rim, will arrive in March 2016 and will let you fight among the factories of Sullust and battle within Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine. Cool right?

Then you've got Bespin, which is due in Summer 2016. This will be set in the Cloud City of Bespin and offer an "action-packed experience".

The third is the Death Star DLC, arriving in Autumn 2016. EA says that it will be the first time the iconic location has been seen in Star Wars Battlefront.

Finally, in early 2017, you'll see "Expansion Pack 4 Title TBA" make an appearance.

"We'll have more details to share about this exciting new expansion pack in the coming months", explained EA.

Sadly, there's no mention of the four new Heroes or Villains, or of the four new game modes, 16 additional maps, or the "over 20" new pieces of "galactic tech" that's also inbound.

To tide you over until March, EA is giving players a selection of free content, kicking off tomorrow – January 27.

The freebies are as follows:

  • Private Matches
  • Daily Challenges and Community Events
  • The Tatooine Survival map now supports Blast, Droid Run, Drop Zone, Hero Hunt, and Heroes vs Villains multiplayer modes, and is called Raider Camp
  • New Hoth-themed outfits for Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, available to all when playing as either Hero on Hoth.
  • Weapon and general balancing tweaks

Which DLC are you most excited for? Let us know in the comments below.

I for one would like to see more tweaks with the weapons and the ability to change your weapons and special items at will while in battle etc.

Yeah - I agree - BF seems a bit backwards in that regard at the moment. On the fly changes of load-out could really help as the tide of battle changes.

The dog-fighting could do with some additional depth too - perhaps some extra objectives / modes to raise the bar.

Totally agree. Also I noticed that when a team is pinned down the game keeps re spawning the team back in the same trapped area, now that is ok for a few times but when its virtually through the entire game then it gives a disadvantage, i fee that is a serious flaw in the game as well and needs to be removed. Also while I am on one hehe when you get an item or charge up I think its so annoying that its right in the middle of your screen in huge letters as you run over to pick it up while also your opponent is shooting you at the same time, it blocks your targeting and often can die.
