Electronic Arts has announced the Star Wars Battlefront beta will be available from October 8.
The technical test will be available for 5 days until October 12 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and on PC via the Origin platform, EA says.
The beta will allow gamers to test three gaming modes, spread across Hoth, Sullust and Tatooine.
The Walker Assault on Hoth will enable players to fight in a 40-player battle. If you’re siding with the Rebels, you can attempt to destroy the Empire’s AT-AT Walkers.
Those sympathising with the Empire will "protect your walkers while utilising their mighty weaponry to crush the Rebel objective.”
The Drop Zone on Sullust mode will feature ‘frantic’ 8v8 matches will require teams to control escape pods crashing down.
As revealed last week, Survival Mission on Tatooine, will allow for for single or 2-player action via co-op or split-screen action. Players will “battle to hold off waves of Imperial forces including AT-ST’s, TIE fighters, elite stormtroopers and more.”
