Images of the forthcoming Sony Xperia Z and the Sony Xperia ZL have been leaked through the manufacturer's own website.
Press shots of the Sony Xperia Z and the Sony Xperia ZL are now available on the official Sony Mobile website, showing them both in all their head-on glory. These devices are making a showing a week ahead of their likely CES debut.
Images and details of the Sony Xperia Z have leaked before (and rather less officially) under its code name of Yuga. It's set to boast a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display, placing it in the same category as the HTC DLX and the forthcoming Huawei Ascend Mate.
The Android Jelly Bean-equipped Sony Xperia Z will also feature a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, which is likely to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, and 2GB of RAM. Reports of a 12 or 13-megapixel camera have also been made, continuing Sony's typically strong mobile photography showing.
In addition to these impressive specs, the Sony Xperia Z is rumoured to feature an enclosed unibody chassis, like the HTC One X and the Nokia Lumia 920. It will also have a microSD slot and a micro HDMI output.
As for the Sony Xperia ZL, it appears to be a smaller variant of the Z. Engadget speculates that it could well incorporate many of the same internal specs, but with a smaller display. Unusually, the front-facing camera appears to be situated to the bottom of the device.
