Sony VAIO Fit touchscreen notebook launched
Sony has launched the Sony VAIO Fit, a new slim notebook with a touchscreen display.
The Sony VAIO Fit offers a 14- or 15.5-inch touchscreen display and runs Windows 8 via an Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processor.
Sony VAIO Fit Features
Featuring a variety of processor options for each 14- or 15.5-inch screen size, consumers can opt for the new Haswell Intel Core i7, i5 or i3 CPU or the Intel Pentium Processor 987 for the Sony VAIO Fit 15E or 14E.
Running Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro, the notebook has Nvidia GeForce GT 740M graphics with Nvidia Optimus technology with 1GB or 2GB of Video RAM.
As with the majority of Windows 8 laptops, the Sony VAIO Fit features a touchscreen display, but also includes NFC technology for one-touch connectivity with other products like the Sony Xperia Z smartphone.
On the Sony VAIO Fit 15E, the Japanese manufacturer has packed in a subwoofer alongside the standard large speakers included in the model, so that users can enjoy their music straight from their notebook.
The models feature hybrid HDD harddrives varying in size from 500GB to 750GB with 4, 6 or 8GB of RAM.
Consumers can also opt for a backlit keyboard in the Sony VAIO Fit too, as well as black, white and pink colour options.
The Sony VAIO Fit is made from brushed aluminium and the speakers are concealed within the hinge of the device to make the finish look seamless.
Movie Studio Platinum, ACID Music Studio, Sound Forge Audio Studio and DVD Architect Studio all come pre-installed with all Sony VAIO Fit models as well.
