Sony teases trio of products for an IFA launch

Sony has suggested it will launch three new products at its IFA 2014 press conference later this week.

With IFA 2014 just days away, the big name in tech were always going to give us a few teasers ahead of their press conferences.

And Sony has done just that. In a brand new teaser trailer on YouTube, Sony has teased a trio of new products for an IFA launch.

During the 55 second-long teaser trailer, there’s a brief shot of three silhouetted products  just before the close.

As you can see above, with support from a host of earlier rumours, we should be looking at the Sony Xperia Z3, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and a 8-inch tablet known as the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.

The whole teaser trailer is dedicated to the number 3, which ties in with the amount of products expected to be launched and the product names as well.

As per previous rumours, it also looks like the Sony Xperia Z3 will measure up at 7mm thick in profile and the Z3 Tablet Compact will have an 8-inch screen size. Well, that’s what we can garner from the airport-style rotating countdown clocks at the end of the video anyway.

The Sony Xperia Z3 is tipped to offer only incremental updates over the current Sony Xperia Z2. But the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, like the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, should be quite the attractive mid-range handset.

Rumour has it the Z3 Tablet Compact will have an 8-inch 1920 x 1080p full HD IPS display and run on a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM.

It should also have an 8-megapixel rear camera and offer 16GB of internal storage as standard.

TrustedReviews will be at IFA all this week to bring you the latest from Sony, Samsung and the other big names in tech.
