Sony SmartWatch 3 UK release date and price confirmed

The Sony SmartWatch 3 UK release date has been confirmed, with the Android Wear-powered smartwatch set to go on sale from October 23.

Leaving just weeks until the LG G Watch rival finds its way on to consumers’ wrists, the SmartWatch 3 release date has been confirmed by online retailer Clove.

Alongside the device’s UK arrival time, the seller has confirmed it will offer the timepiece with both rubberised sports straps and more luxurious metal bands. However, these high-end metal options will not be available until ‘mid-November’.

While the standard Sony SmartWatch 3 Price has been confirmed as £180, the metal device will set wannabe owners back a lofty £215.

What’s more, despite having been unveiled in a variety of colour schemes, including white and pink, it appears the Sony SmartWatch 3 will be available in just black and lime green options at launch.

The black and lime variants are due to arrive first on October 23rd, priced at £150 (£180 inc. VAT),” the retailer stated through an official blog post.

They added: “The metal variant is then expected to arrive mid-November and will be priced at £179.17 (£215 inc. VAT).”

The October 23 SmartWatch 3 release date will see the Samsung Gear Live challenger go on sale a little under a month after the company’s latest flagship phone.

Both the Sony Xperia Z3 and smaller, Z3 Compact launched in the UK yesterday, September 30.
