Sony’s upcoming Xperia Miro handset will cost around £126, at least that’s according to online retailer Clove Technology, which lists the phone for pre-order at £105 (excluding VAT).
At the moment, there is still no official release date for the budget touchscreen Xperia Miro and it may be a few more weeks or even later into the autumn according to unconfirmed reports. The phone was first announced by Sony in June.
It is a fairly basic device, with a 3.5in screen, anti-reflective coating, HVGA (320 x 480) resolution and an 800MHz processor. The camera is a slight step up from many cheap phones, though, offering 5MP and an LED flash, and there’s a baked-in Facebook notification feature. Sony also claims to have added enhancements to the phone’s audio playback using its xLoud system.
It will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is still only in around 10 per cent of Android handsets, even though Google is about to unleash 4.1 Jelly Bean.
