An Indonesian agency has leaked two new models for Sony’s incredibly well-received NEX camera family. If you want to know just how impressed we were by the first of these we looked at, check out the Sony NEX-5 review.
However, one of the missing features – if you have a particular hankering for cable and card-free uploading – was Wi-Fi, which rival models like the Samsung NX1000 introduced as their new headline feature this year.
Now it looks like Sony too will be making wireless a part of its CSC (Compact System Camera) package, with the NEX-5R and NEX-6 both sporting it. Upload a shot to Facebook as soon as you nab it, or share your photos to a colleague’s machine straight from your camera – it’s the future, after all.
According to SonyAlpha Rumors, which nabbed the screengrab, the NEX-5R will have the same partial flip screen as higher-end models, while the NEX-6 adds an EVF (Electronic ViewFinder) to the party. No doubt these little beasts will be fully revealed come Photokina next month.
