Sony launches Beats rivalling Sony MDR-XB910 headphones

Sony has launched the bass packing Sony MDR-XB910 over-ear headphones, specifically designed for pumping club anthems.

Offering all the punch of an Ibiza club at gone midnight, the Sony MDR-XB910 headphones offer deep bass tones mellowed by smooth mid and high range levels.

Sony MDR-XB910 Features
The Sony MDR-XB910 headphones are designed to handle the heaviest basslines of club anthems, dubstep or heavy rock. Inbuilt with Sony’s new Advanced Direct Vibe Structure, the Sony MDR-XB910s offer more realistic bass tones that pound through the wearer’s ears, but also allow the low-to-midrange tones not to be overshadowed. Instead the higher levels of sound are fluid, meaning if the user doesn’t want to feel like they are in the middle of club on their commute, they can enjoy alternative music genres with pleasure.

The Sony MDR-XB910 features a large, chunky metallic design with aluminium detailing and a flat, detachable cable that is guaranteed not to tangle when casually stuffed into a bag. They also offer an inline remote and microphone for easy access to MP3 controls or hands-free smartphone calls.

Set to rival the popular Beats by Dre range, the Sony MDR-XB910 are a closed type headphones, suitable for use on public transport and offers a 50mm driver unit. The earcups also swivel flat to save space in any bag, making them useful when travelling, especially with their comfortable 305g weight.

Sony MDR-XB910 Release Date and Price
Due to launch in the UK sometime this month, the Sony MDR-XB910 headphones are, as yet, without an official price tag. Although, the headphones could enter at the bottom of the existing Prestige Headband range, with a predicted sub-£200 price range.

What do you think of the design of the Sony MDR-XB910 headphones? Are Beats headphones worth the hype? Give us your thoughts via the TrustedReviews Facebook and Twitter feeds or the comment boxes below.
