Sony Bravia W85 launched as largest Full HD TV

The Sony Bravia W85 is the largest Full HD TV at 65-inches, coming complete with Sony’s Triluminos display and X-Reality Pro.

The largest of the Bravia range of Full HD TVs, the Sony Bravia W85 has MotionFlow XR400Hz for a smooth picture and Active 3D functionality as well.

Sony Bravia W85 Features

As with other Bravia TVs and mobile devices like the newly unveiled Sony Xperia Z1, the Bravia W85 features a Triluminos display, which Sony claims has a “wider palette of richly realistic colours” to enhance the viewing experience.

Coming complete with the X-Reality Pro picture engine, the Bravia W85 has a good contrast ratio and smooths the picture regardless of the input.

The Sony Bravia W85 has the Signal-to-Sound technology architecture built-in, offering digital audio technology to make the sound quality match the Full HD resolution. There’s also a Bass Reflex speaker system with three separate drive units, including a tweeter and a rear assist speaker for bass.

Touching a NFC compatible smartphone or tablet to the included One Touch remote allows users to mirror the screen content on the Sony Bravia W85.

The Sony TV SideView app is also compatible with the Bravia W85, allowing smart devices like the Sony Xperia Tablet Z to function as a second-screen for the Full HD TV. Users will be able to control their TV from their mobile device, browsing programme listings, or view social media recommendations among other features.

The Bravia W85 also features Sony’s Sense of Quartz design. It comes complete with integrated Wi-Fi, 4 HDMI and 3 USB ports.

There’s Active 3D and a 400Hz Motionflow HR processor inside which helps make the picture smooth and clear even in 3D.

Sony Bravia W85 Price and Release Date
The Sony Bravia W85 will be available from October in the UK and will be priced at £2999.
