If you are waiting to see what the new Panasonic Lumix GF5 Micro Four-Thirds digital camera looks like, then this leaked photo should give you a clearer idea.
It’s already been revealed that the GF5 will have a 12 megapixel sensor and an improved signal-to-noise ratio, bringing it more in line with the G3. The maximum ISO rating is 12,800, auto-focus response time is reportedly 0.09 seconds, and it has a revised touchscreen interface on its LCD screen.
Web commentators have scrutinised the image, with the consensus being that it is genuine, especially as it seems to have originated from a Hong Kong celeb and ‘brand ambassador’ for Panasonic who goes by the tag of Angelface.
It’s also been noted that the new camera looks slightly more compact than the GF3 and shares some similarities with the Lumix GX1. The slimmed-down body appears to wrap around the interchangeable lens mount, bulging slightly as it does.
The signs are that an official launch for the camera can’t be far off now.
