Ailing digits? Thumbs ready to throw in the towel? You’re feeling the hurt of a Snapchat addiction, but you don’t need to suffer any longer.
That’s because Snapchat has made what it calls a “pretty big change” to the way you view images on its messenger app.
From now on, you won’t need to press-and-hold to view images and videos anymore.
Instead, you can view content with just a single tap, a move that’s designed to save “tired thumbs” across the world.
“Today marks a pretty big change for Snapchat – you no longer have to press and hold the screen to view a Snap or Story – instead, simply Tap to View,” explains the Snapchat team.
It continues: “This means no more tired thumbs while watching a several-hundred-second Story...and a little getting used to for anyone who has been Snapchatting for a while.”

The company is also making a number of other changes in its latest app update, including the introduction of two-factor authentication.
This means that you’ll now have to progress through two security checks to access your Snaps if you wish – that involves your password, and then an SMS log-in verification too.
“Once you enable it, bad guys will have a much harder time if they try to hack into your account,” the company explains.
Snapchat now also lets you add a photo into the middle of your Snapcode – that’s the scannable code that you can send to friends to follow you in the app.
