Skyrim sequel won't be discussed for "a very long time"

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim sequel isn't coming anytime soon, and it won't be discussed for "a very long time".

Anyone hoping for a sequel to Skyrim anytime soon is in for a bit of a wait, according to Bethesda's Marketing VP anyway.

In an interview with DualShockers at Gamescom, Pete Hines stated that Bethesda is focusing all its efforts on Fallout 4 right now.

What's more, it's going to be a "very long time" before the development team is even ready to talk about what its next project will be.

Hines went on to explain that Bethesa Game Studios tends to only work on one title at a time, and won't split its team between games.

Fallout 4 is still being finished ready for its November 10 release date, with mod support due to be the next focal point for the team.

It's probably fair enough that Bethesda isn't even thinking about Elder Scrolls 6 VI yet then, especially as we haven't even started talking about Fallout 4 DLC yet.

For the moment, Elder Scrolls fans will have to be content with the Elder Scrolls Online, which is now on Xbox One and PS4 as well.

The game has quarterly DLC planned for the next and beyond, so there will be plenty to play yet.

Wouldn't it be "The next Elder Scrolls game" rather than a "Skyrim Sequel"? Skyrim wasn't exactly a sequel to Oblivion

If Elder Scrolls 6 is so far off maybe they should release Skyrim for PS4 and Xbox One.
