Sky Q has been named this year’s Home Entertainment Product of the Year at the TrustedReviews Awards 2016.
Sky’s latest TV offering impressed us when it launched earlier this year, and beat out contenders such as the PS4 and Xbox One S to take the title.
We were so taken with the latest Sky product when we reviewed it, we were moved to remark: “Sky Q is the ultimate TV viewing solution. This is TV the way it should be done.”

One of the most impressive aspects of the product is how it manages to cover pretty much every conceivable TV-viewing need.
Home Technology Editor, Ced Yuen, said: “There’s no doubt, Sky Q is the best TV experience Sky has offered yet, and the support for UHD content makes it an even more attractive offering.
“There were some great products in this category, but Sky Q is such a comprehensive TV viewing package, it thoroughly deserved this win.”
With support for 4K content, Sky Q brought the Sky service fully up to date, while the ability to wirelessly connect two Q Mini boxes to watch Sky and all your recordings in other rooms in the house – without the need for a second satellite dish – was another standout feature.
Sky also recently introduced a new smartphone app that allows users to watch their recorded content on the go and start recording remotely – further adding to the functionality.
