Sky is expected to launch its next generation Sky box, thought to be called SkyQ, on November 18.
The company sent invites out to journalists asking them to attend a product launch along with a teaser video compiling great voiceover moments from TV history.
In terms of specifications or design, the video gives nothing away but urges viewers to ‘join us and see what’s next’ following the rundown of momentous Sky TV moments.
The trailer also introduces the hashtag #SetTVFree, which means very little at this point but should become clearer on November 18.

Rumours have been circulating for some time about SkyQ. 4K compatibility and the ability to record up to four programmes at the same time are just some of the features rumoured to be included.
The company has not upgraded the quality of its box since 2006 when it launched its Sky+ HD service.
A new user interface is also expected to accompany the launch of the new hardware.

With the continued rise of Netflix and an increasing amount of subscription streaming services launching, the company may just announce more than a new box on November 18.
