Sky Now TV has arrived on the PS4, with Xbox One support set to follow in the “coming weeks”.

The application for watching on-demand Sky movies, sport and entertainment has officially arrived on the PS4, offering users another content streaming service on Sony’s latest console.

Although Sky Now TV has been available on the PS3 for over a year, it has taken over seven months for the application to arrive on the PS4, which launched in November 2013.

“We’re excited to be able to unveil yet another fantastic way to watch Now TV – offering the huge number of PS4 customers in the UK a contract-free and flexible way of watching great pay TV content on their television,” said Gidon Katz, Director of Now TV.

Although the Xbox One version isn’t launching at the same time, Sky has promised that Now TV for Xbox One will be available within the “coming weeks”.

“PlayStation 4 has been a great success since we launched just over seven months ago, proving that the world’s most powerful console is also the best place to play. With the addition of the brilliant Now TV to the PlayStation entertainment proposition, PS4 keeps getting better.”

Sky Now TV offers content through a variety of passes, according to whether your penchant is for sports, movies or TV.

The Sky Sports Day Pass is £9.99 and offers access to all of the Sky Sports channels for a 24 hour period, which is great for those looking to catch up on key matches or races.

If you fancy watching some Sky Movies, you can get the Sky Movies month pass for £8.99 a month on a rolling contract.

There’s also the £4.99 per month, rolling contract, for the Sky Now TV Entertainment month pass.
