Sky Movies has added a dedicated Sky Movies Disney channel to its film offerings, sure to delight children and adults of all ages by bringing a whole host of the animated classics to Sky Movies subscribers.
Exclusively available to Sky Movies customers, the Sky Movies Disney channel will be home to animated classics as well as live action adventures and new Pixar and Disney films from Easter.
Sky Movies Disney has been launched to coincide with the TV premiere of the BAFTA-winning Disney Pixar movie, Brave. Set in the Scottish Highlands, Brave follows the story of courageous Merida who confronts age-old customs of the colourful Scottish clans.
Strong characters like Merida are characteristic of Disney movies, and Sky customers can catch up with all their favourites when Sky Movies Disney launches on March 28 in time for the long Easter weekend.
Classics like Bambi, Cinderella and The Lion King will screen alongside well-loved Disney Pixar movies like Finding Nemo and Toy Story. Not forgetting some of Disney’s human heroes either, Sky Movies Disney will also be home to favourites like the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
“Sky Movies Disney will be the home of new and classic Disney and Disney Pixar movies and will offer all new titles at least a year before other TV channels or subscription services,” said Director of Sky Movies, Ian Lewis. “The combination of Disney’s fantastic movies and Sky’s award-winning innovation means that customers will have the chance to enjoy the very best of Disney on their own terms, whether that’s watching on demand, on the move or in 3D.”
The Sky Movies Disney channel will also be available in HD, and via on demand services like NOW TV powered by Sky and the Sky Go app available on Apple iOS and Android Devices. This will be the first time that Disney has partnered with another TV movie channel worldwide.
