Goes toe-to-toe with NTL.
Following 3’s announcement it will be scrapping roaming charges in seven countries it seems we are having a day for good value bundles as Sky has now announced a killer package of its own.
‘Surf, Speak, See’ is the rather literal name given to a service which will group an 8Mb broadband connection with free wireless router, free evening and weekend calls and all six of Sky’s Entertainment mixes providing over 100 channels for just £26.
On the downside users will need to figure in a one off broadband activation fee of £20 and British Telecom’s evil £11 per month line rental charge. That said, for anyone who already has a basic Sky package subscribing to Surf, Speak, See would add significant value to the deal.
Sky says the triple package will immediately be available to 50 per cent of its customer base with that figure increasing to 70 per cent by July 2007. An availability checker can be found here. Multimediatastic!
