Sky has improved the supported Android devices for its Sky Go app, including compatibility for the LG G2 and Sony Xperia Z1.
There are now 45 Android devices that support the Sky Go app, with six additional smartphones added overnight by Sky.
The HTC One SV, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z1, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Sony Xperia M and LG G2 will all now be supported by Sky Go, meaning Sky customers can run the on-demand app on more Android devices than ever before.
The Sky Go platform allows Sky customers to watch live and on demand content from up to 49 channels, including Sky Atlantic, Sky One and Film4.
Free to use if you’re a Sky customer, Sky Go can be utilised on two devices per account. For an additional £5 per month on top of the existing bill customers can bump up to Sky Go Extra, this allows users to download programmes to watch offline. It also enables the use of up to four devices per contract.
Sky Go is also available for iOS devices such as the iPad mini and iPhone 5S, PCs, Macs and Xbox 360.
In the summer, Sky released an official statement explaining its commitment to increasing Sky Go support for large screen Android tablets.
It has now launched a Beta Trial for Sky Go on Android tablets that can be accessed on the Sky Community site.
