Sky is offering a couple of interesting discounts to its customers ahead of the Royal Wedding on May 19.
To get people set up and ready to watch the ceremony, Sky is offering a discount on its regular set-up fee of £70, which will bring it down to £20 if you’re purchasing a 2TB Sky Q box.
If you’re already a Sky Q customer and you want to upgrade your TV to a 4K model that will be able to view the ceremony in all its glory, then Sky is also offering a pretty steep discount on a 43-inch LG TV, bringing its price down to £249 from an RRP of £599. This discount is available to both new and existing customers. You can take advantage of this deal here.

An LG TV, better than half-price
The TV in question is the LG 43UK6300PLB. It’s got an IPS panel, which means it’ll have nice wide-viewing angles and vibrant colours, but its HDR performance is unlikely to be that great based on our previous experience with the technology.
The good news is that Sky Q doesn’t currently offer HDR so this won’t matter for the time being, but with support due to arrive later this year it could become more of a problem.

That said, all of LG’s TVs use the WebOS operating system, which has consistently provided one of the most polished experiences available today.
