Who doesn’t love helming their own pirate ship? It proved to be a blast in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag as Edward Kenway sailed across the caribbean in search of murder, treasure and templars. Now, Ubisoft is adapting the ship combat from Assassin’s Creed into its own, fully-fledged outing. Skull and Bones is all about the pirate’s life, and it’s definitely for us.
TrustedReviews has compiled everything you need to know about Skull and Bones including all the latest news on its release date, gameplay, trailers and more.

Skull and Bones gameplay – how does it play?
Played from a third-person perspective, Skull and Bones is a tactical action title where you take control of a unique pirate captain. They can be customised however you like, commanding a crew aboard a vessel capable of ruling the sea.
In terms of modes, players can set out to sail the Indian Ocean as part of the solo campaign or battle up to five friends amongst heavily disputed waters. By defeating rivals you’ll gain experience that can be used to upgrade your ship and increase your chances of success.

You won’t just be firing your cannons and calling it a day, though. In Skull of Bones you need to take wind direction into account when it comes to navigating waters and getting the drop on enemies. Ships can also be charged into and boarded, leaving your crew at risk of a swift defeat.
There will also be an opportunity to gain plenty of loot, which will play an important role in multiplayer. In Loot Hunt, two groups of players are challenged to hunt down treasure, with the fastest team gaining the most riches. You can even climb the crow’s nest and whip out a spyglass to get a better look.
We expect more modes and features to be announced in the coming months, including additional details on the single-player campaign.
