Second GTA 5 mural being painted on Los Angeles hotel

A second GTA 5 mural is being painted down the side of a hotel in Los Angeles, showing all three of the game’s protagonists.

The huge three column GTA 5 mural started appearing last night on the Figueroa Hotel in Los Angeles.

Rockstar Games has already used the LA hotel to advertise GTA 4 and Max Payne 3 and the Figueroa Hotel is becoming well known for hosting such large ads.

Although the GTA 5 mural isn’t quite finished yet, the game’s three protagonists are clearly shown, with Franklin and Michael flanking Trevor in the centre.

It seems appropriate that Rockstar Games has chosen to promote GTA 5 in Los Angeles, seeing as the game is set in the parody version of Los Santos.

The LA mural is the second hand-painted ad Rockstar has commissioned to promote its upcoming game.

The first depicted a close-up of Trevor running two fingers along a “cut here” tattoo around his neck and is located in New York. It can be found on North 11th Street and Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, the equivalent of Shoreditch or Camden in New York’s Brooklyn district.

As the mural only showed Trevor, it was predicted that the mural would be the first in a series. With the appearance of the huge LA installation it seems that Rockstar is taking the time to publicise GTA 5 in this way.

Both the murals are building the hype for the GTA 5 release date on September 17 for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

It is the first in the game’s series to feature a multiple character line-up, with players able to switch seamlessly between them both during missions and downtime.

Gamers will also be able to choose how to complete the major heists in the game, as revealed by the recently released GTA 5 gameplay trailer, picking members to take with them and make key decisions as to how they play out.
