Samsung planning to make Galaxy S7 more Note-like?

Samsung has won a patent for a new S View cover that features a built-in S Pen, a tool that could make its handsets more like the Note series.

Judging by an application published in South Korea (via Galaxy Club), the company plans to combine two of its popular accessories. This could increase the functionality of smartphones like the forthcoming Galaxy S7.

Such a move could open the door for Galaxy S series device owners to enjoy some of the benefits of the popular Note phablet series.

In order for this to work, Samsung would need to add the S Pen sensor film to any non-Note handset.

If it decided to go in that direction, Samsung would risk watering down the Note product, which remains popular among loyalists.
