Samsung NX3000 CSC announced with 20.3MP sensor

Samsung has announced a brand new compact system camera, the Samsung NX3000, with a 20.3-megapixel sensor.

Attempting to bridge the gap between the Samsung NX Mini and the NX300, the NX3000 comes without a grip but has a larger DSLR sized sensor, a mode dial and hot shoe.

Samsung NX3000 Features

The Samsung NX3000 features a 20.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor with a 1/4000 shutter speed, which when coupled with the capability of shooting at speeds of 5fps makes it easier to capture better, clearer images.

It offers an ISO range of 100 – 25600 and you can attach the included external flash thanks to an in-built hot shoe.

The CSC is capable of shooting full 1920 x 1080p HD video and comes with a range of Smart Modes, including Beauty Face, Best Face, Sunset and Continuous Shot.

The retro-inspired design still manages to pack in a 3-inch flip-up display with a 320 x 480p resolution and Wink Shot compatibility. Basically this means you can wink at the camera to take a shot for hassle-free selfies, if you’re into that sort of thing.

You’ll also get NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity as standard.

Apparently the kit lens options with the NX3000 are for a 16-50mm stabilised power zoom lens, but the standard camera comes with a 20-50mm lens.

Samsung NX3000 Release Date and Price
All we know so far is that the Samsung NX3000 will be available from mid-June. Pricing details have yet to be announced.
