Samsung NX300 officially unveiled ahead of CES 2013
Samsung has officially unveiled the Samsung NX300 ahead of CES 2013, with the latest Samsung branded compact system camera (CSC) launching alongside the world’s first one-lens 3D system.
Building on the popular Samsung NX CSC brand, the Samsung NX300 adds a raft of new high-end innards with the brand’s latest flagship offering making the jump to a new 20.3-megapixel APS-CMOS sensor with a wide ISO range running from ISO100 to 25600.
“Since its launch in 2010, the Samsung NX System has become synonymous with innovation and design, making the best digital imaging technology available to everyone without compromising on style,” Simon Stanford, Vice President of Samsung UK and Ireland said.
“The NX300 builds even further on this illustrious heritage. Not only does it deliver incredible speed and accuracy through advanced photographic features, but it is truly built around the user, with upgraded SMART Camera functions making shooting and sharing both easy and seamless.”

Building on the solid 20.3-megapixel base, the Samsung NX300 specs sheet is packed with a high-end collection of components, with users to be able to view their snaps via the on-board 3.31-inch AMOLED touchscreen display that features a tilt mechanism for improved ease of use.
Running Samsung’s unique DRIMe IV imaging engine, the Samsung NX300 features list is further bolstered by 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities, integrated Wi-Fi connectivity for fast and easy image sharing, and a built in HDMI port.
Lining up at just 40.7mm thick and a comfortable 122mm in length, the Samsung NX300, which weighs in at 280g without the battery, supports SD memory card expansion.
Landing alongside the Samsung NX300, Samsung has officially launched the new Samsung 45mm 2D/3D lens with the F1.8 lens lignin up as the world’s first one-lens 3D system.
“We are also very proud to introduce the first one-lens 3D system alongside the NX300, opening up a whole new world of 3D photography and video recording for consumers everywhere,” Samsung head Simon Stanford added.
